Recognizing the role and importance of infrastructure for the country’s socio-economic development, Bitexco decided to select infrastructure as a strategic investment field very early. Pioneering in the field of hydropower since 2001, after 17 years, Bitexco is now a private enterprise with the largest investment in this field with 20 hydropower plants, total investment up to nearly 1 billion USD, Among them, there were 18 factories completed and put into operation with total power of approximately 1000MW per year. Most hydropower projects are located in particularly difficult areas and contribute to economic, cultural and social development for localities.
